About Me

Welcome traveler...

I’m Marina… an artist and healer who paints at the edge of imagination, consciousness, and play. My work is a practice of stepping out of the way… returning to a childlike wonder that explores inner worlds with curiosity and ease. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate refinement and technique as allies… helping shape what wants to come through.

The early years of my painting journey were devoted to surrender and exploration… allowing images to arrive freely, like portals opening on their own. Now, I’m in a new chapter… learning technique, honoring process, and deepening mastery… letting discipline and magic walk hand in hand.

This is a story of awakening, remembrance, and the quiet discovery of infinite possibility.

I was born in Argentina and spent much of my childhood traveling the world with my mother and sister, moving through different cultures, colors, languages, and ways of seeing. Creativity surrounded me early on. My stepmother studied magical realism, and her paintings quietly shaped my inner landscape. My mother, a physician, carried her own form of artistry, expressing it through medical illustrations and spontaneous doodles… imagination and science living side by side.

That sense of wonder never left me. It simply went quiet for a time… waiting.

In 2008, I returned to Miami, and in 2009 a new world opened through the Burning Man community. That environment of radical self-expression, art, and play reignited something ancient within me and reminded me that creativity could be a way of life, not just a practice.

I also come from a lineage of pioneers in psychotherapy and the exploration of consciousness through psychedelics… a thread I didn’t fully step into until later in life. With time, loss, and deep inner listening, I began to understand the depth of this inheritance. Both of my parents have since passed, yet my own journeys exploring consciousness awakened an energy inside of me that felt ancient, alive, and almost unstoppable. These experiences didn’t take me away from life… they brought me into deeper intimacy with it.

My journey into painting fully ignited in 2011 during a life-changing experience at the Omega Institute, where I studied Art as a Spiritual Practice with Alex Grey and Allyson Grey, alongside a workshop in Past Life Regression Therapy with Dr. Brian Weiss. Something opened that never closed again.

For the first decade after that experience, I painted in a state of devotion and discovery. I would work all day, say goodnight to my husband, then return to the canvas late into the night… listening to Ram Dass and Alan Watts, slipping into quiet portals, and allowing whatever wanted to come through to arrive. Those years were about trusting the current, letting images form themselves, and remembering how to listen.

In 2012, one of the pieces born from that time was displayed alongside visionary artists, including Alex Grey, at Moksha Art Gallery during Art Basel. It was a powerful affirmation that art could be both deeply personal and widely resonant… a bridge between worlds.

Alongside my creative life, I’ve spent over 15 years devoted to healing work… beginning with bodywork and expanding into sound therapy, light technologies, and other evolving modalities. From my private retreat space in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I host guests for half-day and full-day sessions, creating containers where time softens, nervous systems settle, and something essential can be remembered.

In 2025, I entered a new phase of my artistic path. I studied magical realism with Autumn Skye at CoSM, where I met Dan Dos Santos and felt a clear inner yes to deepen my technical skill. I stepped into a 14-week intensive under his mentorship… learning structure, process, and craft while continuing to practice surrender. This chapter feels like a meeting point… where intuition and technique support one another, and magic has a stronger vessel to move through.

Today, I live a life that feels both grounded and enchanted… shared with my beloved husband Jeff, our two pups Kaya and Luna, and the ever-changing beauty of the mountains that hold us. My paintings are invitations… to soften, to play, and to remember that the magic we’re looking for has never been far away.

Thank you for being here…

May something in this space stir your own remembering.

IN-JOY ✨
