I’m Marina… an artist and healer creating at the edges of imagination, consciousness, and play.

 

For me, art has always been a practice of getting out of the way… returning to the childlike place that explores inner worlds with curiosity, wonder, and ease. Over time, I’ve come to see refinement and technique as allies in that process… giving form to what wants to come through. My earliest years of painting were devoted almost entirely to surrender and exploration.

 

 

Today, I find myself in a new chapter… deepening technique, honoring process, and allowing discipline and magick to walk hand in hand.

 

At its heart, my work is a story of awakening, remembrance, and the discovery of infinite possibility.

 

I was born in Argentina and spent much of my childhood traveling the world with my mother and sister… moving through different cultures, colors, languages, and ways of seeing. Creativity surrounded me early on. My stepmother studied magical realism, and her paintings quietly shaped my inner landscape. My mother, a physician, carried her own artistry through medical illustration and spontaneous doodles… imagination and science living side by side.

 

That sense of wonder never left me. It simply went quiet for a time… waiting... When I returned to Miami in 2008, another doorway opened.

 

Through the Burning Man community, I rediscovered radical self expression, immersive art, and play… and remembered that creativity could become a way of life.

 

My journey into painting fully ignited in 2011 during a life changing experience at the Omega Institute, where I studied Art as a Spiritual Practice with Alex Grey and Allyson Grey while also exploring Past Life Regression Therapy with Dr. Brian Weiss. Something opened that never quite closed again...

For the decade that followed, I painted from a place of devotion and discovery. I would work through the day, say goodnight to my husband, and often find myself back at the canvas late into the night… listening to Ram Dass and Alan Watts, disappearing into quiet inner worlds, and trusting whatever wanted to emerge.

 

In 2012, one of the pieces born during that period was exhibited at Moksha Art Gallery during Art Basel alongside visionary artists including Alex Grey. It was a beautiful affirmation that something deeply personal could also become a bridge into someone else’s world.

 

Alongside my creative life, I have spent more than 16 years immersed in healing work… beginning with bodywork and expanding into sound, light, consciousness, and evolving therapeutic modalities. From my private retreat space in the Blue Ridge Mountains, I create immersive healing experiences where time softens, nervous systems settle, and something essential has space to be remembered.

 

In 2024, my relationship with oil painting began through visionary artist Blais Bellenoit. I had the rare honor of being his only student, and although our time together was brief… he passed away only a few months after I began studying with him… his guidance opened an entirely new world for me. He became my first teacher in oil painting, and what he shared helped lay the foundation for everything that followed.

 

In 2025, that path deepened further. I studied magical realism with Autumn Skye at CoSM, where I met Dan Dos Santos and felt an immediate inner yes to strengthen my technical foundation. I later entered a 14 week intensive under his mentorship… studying structure, process, and craft while continuing to honor intuition and surrender.

 

That meeting point fascinates me now… where imagination and mastery support one another, and magick is given an even stronger vessel through which to move. Today, my creative world continues to evolve through magical realism, fantasy oil painting, and a return to one of my earliest loves… pencil drawing.

 

I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains with my beloved husband Jeff and our wonderfully spirited four legged family… surrounded by nature, mystery, and an ever changing source of inspiration.

 

My work is an invitation… to soften, to become curious, to play, and perhaps to remember that the magick we search for has been around us all along!
